Swag Bar Chair was designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD, in the Hollywood Regency Style, which is sometimes called Regency Moderne. Hollywood Regency is an American interior design style which emphasizes opulence and comfort. It is a product of the cinema industry of the 1930s when movies depicted luxurious spaces filled with dramatic and glamourous furniture celebrating the lavish lifestyle of Hollywood’s Golden Era. While art deco has a similar preference for opulence and glamour, it doesn’t have touches of the classical era that Hollywood Regency features. In a nutshell it’s an updated version of the 19th-century Regency Era style, inspired by the glitz and glamour of Hollywood movies.

Swag Bar Chair is made of the finest quality rosewood. Carving is done entirely by hand. The footrest is solid brass. The seat cushion has 8-way hand-tied springs which will not sag even after decades of use. It is mounted on a memory swivel that returns it to face-forward position after use. Standard upholstery material is black, brown, or cream leather. We also offer upholstery in COM.

Ours is an artisanal product made in a traditional and non-mechanized way. We are able to design and manufacture bar furniture ranging in style from traditional through art nouveau and art deco, to modern and contemporary. One of the special services we offer is the ability to customize our product to fit the client’s specification. Drawings are made and finish samples prepared for client approval. Custom work is our specialty.
