The Amarna Coffee Table was inspired by furnishings of ancient Egypt. More is known about furniture of ancient Egypt than that of any other part of the ancient world. At the time of the New Kingdom Egyptian furniture was highly prized and was often sent as gifts to the rulers of neighboring countries. The homes of officials and nobles were furnished with a wide range of furniture. Most common were lattice stools that were made from thin struts of timber with angled braces. That’s the stool that inspired Shah Gilani, ISFD, to transform into a coffee table. With its timeless elegance the Amarna Coffee Table makes an exceptional cocktail table for upscale residential and hospitality interiors. The base is uniquely designed to hold the glass top in place with corner finials through holes in the glass. Robust metal construction allows the base to support the heavy top without flexing. Four polished bronze glides are provided which also serve as levelers – a useful feature to have when the floor is uneven. The table base is offered in a variety of finishes. Custom sizing is available.

Ours is an artisanal product made in a traditional and non-mechanized way. We are able to design and manufacture coffee tables ranging in style from traditional through art nouveau and art deco, to modern and contemporary. One of the special services we offer is the ability to customize our product to fit the client’s specification. Drawings are made and finish samples prepared for client approval. Custom work is our specialty.
