The design of the Chelsea Wall Light was inspired by old London street lamps. It is named for The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Chelsea is an affluent area in west London, situated southwest of the City of Westminster. It lies on the north bank of the River Thames. Its exclusivity is mainly due to high property prices. In the ’70s the term “Sloane Ranger” was coined to describe some of its residents. Chelsea contains major museums, universities, and department stores such as Harrods, Peter Jones, and Harvey Nichols. The borough is home to the Notting Hill Carnival which is Europe’s largest. The Chelsea Wall Light was designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD, for use in entryways, hallways, foyers, and chambers. With its timeless elegance and Art Deco undertones, it makes an exceptional luminaire for high-end residential and hospitality interiors. This exquisite light fixture is offered in a variety of hand-applied finishes and accents. It is designed to be hard-wired into the household wiring. It has a single candelabra base socket. Custom sizing is available.
