Brass or Copper Cone & Top Dining Table was designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD, for high-end hospitality and residential interiors. The cone and top are handmade of thick 18 gauge brass or copper sheet which has been lightly distressed and patinated for a mellow appearance. Most brass or copper furniture on the internet is made of 36 gauge material which is paper-thin. We make our table tops an impressive 2″ thick while industry standard is 1″ to 1 1/2″. We wrap the sheet metal around a metal frame and not cheap plywood or particleboard that most manufacturers use. The heavy metal plinth is made by a casting process. Molten metal is poured into a sand mold that can be used only once. It is available in a variety of hand-applied finishes. The brass or copper is sealed with a coat of lacquer so that it does not tarnish beyond the subtle patina that is applied at the factory. The brass or copper surface may be left unsealed if so preferred upon request so that it continues to tarnish while in use. There is a sea of cheap brass & copper tables on the internet but they don’t even come close to our high quality and fine workmanship. Ours is an artisanal product made in a traditional and non-mechanized way. We are able to design and manufacture dining room furniture ranging in style from traditional through art nouveau and art deco, to modern and contemporary. One of the special services we offer is the ability to customize our product to fit the client’s specification. Drawings are made and finish samples prepared for client approval. Custom work is our specialty.
