Burlington Cabinet

Description

The Burlington Cabinet is named for the Burlington Arcade which is a covered shopping arcade in London. It runs behind Bond Street from Piccadilly through to Burlington Gardens. One of the precursors of the mid-19th-century European shopping gallery and the modern shopping center, the Burlington Arcade was built for “the sale of jewellery and fancy articles of fashionable demand, for the gratification of the public”. It was one of the London’s earliest arcades, built at a time when the arcade was a new form of retail shopping. It was designed to serve the shopping needs of the growing middle classes. In the spirit of the Burlington Arcade, the Burlington Cabinet is ahead of its time. It is entirely hand-crafted using selected rosewood, bonded wood, and metal. The unique cabinet makes an exceptional entertainment center, tv stand, or buffet. It is offered in a variety of finishes and accent colors on it’s metal legs. The adjustable shelves are Melamine lined. Doors have high quality self-closing hinges. Four polished bronze glides are provided which also serve as levelers – a useful feature when the floor is uneven. Custom sizing is available. The Burlington Cabinet was designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD.

Ours is an artisanal product made in a traditional and non-mechanized way. We are able to design and manufacture case goods ranging in style from traditional through art nouveau and art deco, to modern and contemporary. One of the special services we offer is the ability to customize our product to fit the client’s specification. Drawings are made and finish samples prepared for client approval. Custom work is our specialty.
