Etruscan Dining Table (Rectangular)

Description

Design of the Etruscan Dining Table (Rectangular) was inspired by neoclassical furnishings. Neoclassicism is the name given to a movement in decorative and visual arts, literature, theater, music, and architecture that draws inspiration from the classical art and culture of ancient Greece and ancient Rome. Each table base is entirely handcrafted by a casting process. Molten metal is poured into a mold to cast each side. The four sides are then finished by a master craftsman by painstaking chasing, sanding, and filing. Surface of the metal is beautifully textured as though it was fashioned by a sculptor. Next the polished bronze feet and polished bronze round discs are secured to the table base. Finally, with the polished bronze accents in place, the entire table receives a multi-layer hand-applied finish. Robust metal construction allows the table base to support heavy tops without shaking. Top options include glass, copper, and brass. Exuding European style understated elegance, it makes an exceptional dining table for upscale residential and hospitality interiors. Four polished bronze glides are provided which also serve as levelers – a useful feature when the floor is uneven.
