Description

Brasserie Copper or Brass Top Dining Table (Elongated) was designed for upscale eclectic homes, restaurants, cafes, brasseries, and wine cellars. With its Art Deco undertones and European style timeless elegance, it makes a unique copper or brass kitchen table or breakfast table. The table top is hand-made of of heavy duty 18 gauge (43 mils) copper or brass sheet. Most manufacturers use 36 gauge sheet which is paper-thin. The sheet metal is stretched over a robust steel frame and NOT cheap particle board or plywood that most manufacturers use. Furthermore, the sheet metal is wrapped around the steel frame for safety. Most manufacturers leave this sharp edge dangerously exposed. Underside of the table top is coated with sound deadening material. Fancy rivet-head trim is available along the edge of the table top. The metal table base is available in a variety of finishes. It is equipped with four polished bronze glides which also serve as levelers – a useful feature when the floor is uneven. This exquisite table makes an exceptional brass or copper restaurant, brasserie, or café table. It may be mentioned here that copper and brass have natural anti-bacterial properties which makes them ideal materials for table tops.
