The Olive Grove Dining Table (Rectangular) was inspired by orchards of the Mediterranean basin. There is an ancient belief that the “tree of life” in the Garden of Eden was an olive tree. The olive was one of the most valuable trees to the ancient Hebrews. The olive was one of the main elements in ancient Israelite cuisine. Olive oil was used not only for food and cooking, but also lighting, sacrificial offerings, and anointment for priestly or royal office. It is mentioned in Scripture that the dove returned to Noah’s Ark carrying an olive branch in its beak. Since that time the olive branch has been a symbol of peace across the world.

It is recommended that two Olive Grove Dining Table bases be used with a rectangular glass top. The unique design of this table evokes the laid-back attitude and mood of the Mediterranean region. This exquisite dining table is aptly suited for use in upscale residential and hospitality interiors. The metal bases are made by a casting process. Molten metal is poured into a sand mold which can be used only once. Robust construction allows the table base to support a heavy glass top without flexing. Custom sizing is available. Offered in a variety of finishes. Two bases may be used together to support a rectangular top. The Olive Grove Dining Table was designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD.
