Description

Diego Bar Chair was designed for use in high end residential and hospitality interiors. Robust bronze construction ensures strength and stability. It makes an exceptional bar chair for home bars, game rooms, wine cellars, and man caves, as well as restaurants, bars, brasseries, and cafes. The surface of the bronze is beautifully textured as though it was sculpted by an artist. It is made by a casting process. Molten bronze is poured into a mold that can be used only once. The rough casting is then painstakingly smoothed by a master craftsman. This is a long and laborious process requiring great attention to detail so as not to destroy the texture. Such organic surface texture was widely used by Diego Giacometti (1902 – 1985) on his furniture and lighting creations. As a tribute to this gifted artist this bar chair is named for him. The seat is mounted on a memory swivel which returns it face-forward position after use. The seat cushion has 8-way hand-tied springs which will not sag even after decades of use. Standard upholstery material is saddle-stitched black, brown, or cream calf leather. The bronze is available either polished or in a variety of hand-applied patinas. The Diego Bar Chair is also available as a Counter Chair. Designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD. Custom sizing is available.

We are able to design and manufacture bar furniture ranging in style from traditional through art nouveau and art deco, to modern and contemporary. One of the special services we offer is the ability to customize our product to fit the client’s specification. Drawings are made and finish samples prepared for client approval. Custom work is our specialty.
