Fluted Bow Front Buffet

Description

The design of the Fluted Bow Front Buffet was inspired by ancient Greek and Roman fluted columns. The Greeks started carving flutes in their columns because their earliest wooden columns were made from tree trunks. When the builders shaved the bark off the trunks the process created vertical gouges. When they began to build stone temples, they copied the gouges from the wooden columns because it made them look skinnier and taller and more elegant. Fluting the columns, one flute after another, also gave the columns and the whole building a feeling of rhythm. Architects of ancient Greece thought that to be a desirable feature in a temple. Even though the Fluted Bow Front Buffet was inspired by columns of ancient Greek and Rome, it fits perfectly in contemporary dining rooms. This elegant cabinet is offered in a variety of finishes and accents. The Fluted Bow Front Buffet was designed by Shah Gilani, ISFD. Custom sizing is available.
